Hey, Cardcaptor Sakura fans! There's no stopping your favorite anime character from making her TV comeback as the first trailer for Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card has officially arrived. Things are going to be just as exciting in the fictional City of Tomoeda as the trailer gives off the same tone of the old version!
According to Anime News Network, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card premieres in Japan on January 7, 2018. While we're not certain as to whether or not it will air on local networks, we still can't help but feel excited about its imminent return. Plus, there are hundreds of ways to see anime shows legally online. Watch the trailer below:
Morio Asaka, who helmed the first installment of the beloved manga-turned-anime series, returns to direct the project under Madhouse animation studios. Meanwhile, Sakura Tange reprises her role as Sakura Kinomoto who is now in her first year as a junior high student.
Back in 2001, Cardcaptor Sakura aired on Philippine television as part of ABS-CBN's afternoon programming.
